What is the Walk for the Homeless?
The Walk for the Homeless is a community walk through the neighborhood surrounding St. Andrew’s and traditionally commences Homecoming Day activities. It’s a great way to begin a day of Homecoming games and activities. The Walk ends at Izzo Quad, in front of the Student Center, just as the Homecoming Day events begin.

Where is the Walk for the Homeless?
The Walk for the Homeless begins at the main entrance of the Postoak campus. Check-in begins on Saturday, October 14 at 9:30 a.m. at the Joanne Beach circle. Following brief remarks at 10 a.m., the Walk will commence through the neighborhood, ending at Izzo Quad, in front of the Student Center.

How long is the Walk for the Homeless?
There are two routes that a walker can choose. The short route is a mile long and great for our smallest of Lions. The longer route is two miles long. All walkers can walk, bike, scooter, or stroll the courses. There will be marshals and signs along the way to direct walkers and ensure everyone’s safety.

What is our goal for the Walkathon?
Our goal is to raise as much money as possible to help those experiencing homelessness in our area. At last year's Walk for the Homeless, we raised over $12,000 and had more than 500 walkers and “virtual” walkers. Let's do it again!

How do I register myself and my family for the Walk for the Homeless?
Click on the Walk Registration link to register. The registration fee is $25 per person. We strongly encourage everyone to pre-register. It couldn’t be easier! (Families who receive financial aid from St. Andrew’s can register at no cost.)

How can our “Little Lions” participate?
There are two courses for the Walk. There is a shorter one-mile course for our littlest of Lions. The Walk will begin from the front of campus and conclude on the Izzo Quad. Following the walk there will be inflatables, food trucks, and more!

Can I bring my dog?
Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to join the Walk!
