Thank you for your interest in St. Andrew's! The Admission Office is working diligently to process applications and materials, and we appreciate your patience during this time. Please note that it may take up to one week for application materials to be processed. Materials are reviewed based on the date they are received, not the date they are uploaded to Ravenna. Additionally, the Admission Office will continue to accept applications and application materials after the January 5 application deadline. Thank you for your understanding.

Important Admission Deadlines

We use Ravenna to manage our application process.  
To register for any upcoming events or to fill out an application, click the Apply Online button to the right.

For Preschool I and II

  • Apply

    You may submit the online application at any time prior to the deadline, along with the $75 application fee.  

    After the deadline, we will continue to accept applications on a space-available basis. Please contact the Admission Office for guidance at 240-477-1700. 

  • Interview

    Once you have submitted an application, please schedule the required half hour parent/guardian interview. You can schedule online via Ravenna or by calling 240-477-1700, or by emailing ADMISSION@SAES.ORG.

  • Visit

    Once you have an application on file, please schedule the required playdate visit. You can schedule online via Ravenna or by calling 240-477-1700, or by emailing ADMISSION@SAES.ORG. We look forward to welcoming your student to our campus for a 20 minute playdate. This visit will entail applicants experiencing a portion of the day. If you are unable to attend in person or would like to send additional information to our Admission Office, details will be sent via email to you regarding a supplementary video option that can be used as part of our Admission process.

PreK- Grade 5

  • Interview

    A half-hour parent/guardian interview is required. Once an application has been submitted, you can schedule online via Ravenna or by calling 240-477-1700, or by emailing admission@saes.org. Additional date options and times are generally available if you call or email.

  • Visit

    We look forward to welcoming your student to our campus for a shadow visit. This visit will entail applicants being paired with a host and experiencing a portion of the day, with their same-aged peers who will be going into the grade that the applicant will be joining in the Fall. During the visit, a short assessment will be administered. Campus tours for prospective families and half-day student "shadow" visits can be scheduled via Ravenna. 

  • Transcripts

    St. Andrew’s requires grades from the current marking period (quarter or trimester), as well as grades from the previous year (if applicable). Please complete the transcript release form and give it to your child's school. Transcripts can be sent via email or mail directly to the Admission Office. The transcript release form can be found on Ravenna, or downloaded here.

  • Recommendations

    A recommendation from your child's current teacher is required.

  • Additional Requirements

    WISC/WPPSI (optional): If your child has completed the WISC/WPPSI within the past 2 years, you can send those results to admission@saes.org. We find these assessments helpful to have a more full understanding of your child’s learning profile, but they are not required for admission. We will give equal consideration to applications with or without WISC/WPPSI results.

Grades 6-8

  • Interview and Writing Sample

    Once you have submitted an application, please schedule the required parent/guardian and student interview. Students will complete a writing sample as part of the interview. You can schedule online via Ravenna or by calling 240-477-1700, or by emailing ADMISSION@SAES.ORG.

  • Visit

    Campus tours for prospective families and half-day student "shadow" visits can be scheduled via Ravenna. 

  • Additional Requirements

    Admission testing is not required for applicants to St. Andrew’s. Instead, we ask that students choose to submit ONE of the following options (project or testing). Please select whichever option best represents your interests and strengths; we will give equal weight to either option.

    1. Project: Please send us a slideshow, brief video (no more than 5 minutes) or photos of a project that you completed, and of which you are particularly proud. This could include an art portfolio, a science project, a design project, a video of a musical performance-anything that represents your original work. Students should write a brief (200 words or more) written description of the project using the form below (this written description should be completed by the student without assistance), and send the project to admission@saes.org.

    2. SSAT, ISEE, PSAT, SAT, or ACT results: If you are opting to send results from the SSAT or ISEE, you can submit the official results, which must include the writing sample. Register at www.ssat.org or at www.iseetest.org and ask for the scores to be sent to St. Andrew's Episcopal School (SAES). The SSAT school code for SAES is 6266. The ISEE school code for SAES is 211222. If you are sending PSAT, SAT, or ACT results, please have score results sent to admission@saes.org.

  • Transcripts
