Matías '22 Reports on Gen Z and Climate Change

Junior Matías Heitner is the high school correspondent for Planet Forward, an environmental storytelling outlet at The George Washington University
After writing for the news website this summer as the only high-school-age intern, Matías is continuing to report this fall on the impact of the climate crisis on Generation Z.

"Our views are not usually represented in the media, and we’re going to be voting in a few years. The truth is, we’re the people that in two, four, six years are going to be the key voters and the people who are making decisions for the country."
