Upper School Awards Assembly Honors Class of 2025

St. Andrew’s held its annual Upper School awards assembly on Tuesday morning with special honors and recognitions given to the Class of 2025. Awards were handed out for excellence in academics, arts, athletics, leadership, and equity and belonging.
Head of School Robert Kosasky presented the school’s highest honor, the William Way Award, named for the school’s Founding Board Chair to Samina Bhatia (Cornell). She received the award for her contributions to the St. Andrew’s community. The Head of School Award was presented to Daniel Lobsenz (Brown), the David Mayhood Award to Kosette Koons-Perdikis (Duke), and the Sheila Maith Award for leadership in diversity, equity, and belonging to Ashley Antezana (Dickinson).

Longtime Language Teacher and Department Chair Daphne Clyburn P’37 received the Finneran Faculty Scholar Award, which is granted annually to one St. Andrew’s teacher who embodies excellence and commitment to professional growth and is considered the highest recognition a St. Andrew’s teacher can receive. Koons-Perdikis (Duke) was named the valedictorian while Thomas Ludecke (MIT) was named salutatorian.

William R. Borg Athletes of the Year Award: Kata Buttrey (George Mason University) and Andrew Orsi (Bridgewater College)

Senior Paper Award: Hannah Levin (Emory University)
Richard Klemm Boyd Jr. Art Award: Safa Al-Uqdah Robinson (St. John’s University)
Saints Award: Miles Franklin (Columbia University) and Melissa Nugent (Swarthmore College)
