Celebrating our 2026 Athletics Hall of Fame Inductees

Congratulations to our 2026 Athletics Hall of Fame inductees - Claire Devaney '11, the 2015 Boys Basketball Team, and the 2001 Girls Soccer Team - whose achievements will be honored at the Alumni Awards Brunch during Homecoming & Reunion on Saturday, October 17!
This year's Athletics Hall of Fame inductees include:

Claire Devaney ’11:
Few players in St. Andrew’s history have left a mark on a program the way Claire Devaney ’11 did. The four-time All-ISL selection who averaged 16 points and 7 rebounds in her career was just the third player in St. Andrew’s girls basketball history to reach 1,000 points, passing that threshold as a senior when she was a team captain. A year earlier, she helped lead the girls basketball team to its first-ever ISL championship.

2015 Boys Basketball Team: When the 2014-2015 season began, the St. Andrew’s boys basketball team had its sights set on accomplishing something historic - being the first St. Andrew’s team to win a MAC title on the hardwood. In February of 2015, after compiling a 21-6 regular-season record, the Lions ran through the MAC Tournament as the third seed, taking a 50-42 win over Flint Hill on the road to win the championship and finish the year ranked in the Washington Post Top 20.

2001 Girls Soccer Team: In the fall of 2000, the St. Andrew’s girls soccer team made history when they won the ISL title in their first year in the league. Coached by Glenn Whitman, the team went 10-5-2 on the year and had a flair for come-from-behind wins, winning the regular-season title and raising a championship banner.

These remarkable Lions have earned their place among the best in St. Andrew’s athletic history. Join us on October 17 as we celebrate their achievements and the legacy they have created.
