St. Andrew’s held its annual Upper School awards assembly on Tuesday morning with special honors and recognitions given to the Class of 2024. Awards were handed out for excellence in academics, arts, athletics, leadership, and equity and belonging.
On April 26, nearly 90 students from eighth through twelfth grade enjoyed a guest lecture from climate scientist Dr. Michael E. Mann, who is fighting against disinformation and climate change.
On Saturday, April 20, St. Andrew’s held its first-ever Bradmoor Campus Reunion, inviting all students who attended St. Andrew’s prior to 1999 to visit their former, beloved campus. Joined by a score of former teachers and their families, more than 80 alumni attended the event.
On Wednesday morning on Lions Court, 10 twelfth-grade students and 10 eleventh-grade students were inducted into the St. Andrew’s chapter of the Cum Laude Society, which honors the school’s highest academic achievers. The ceremony was attended by eighth- through twelfth-grade students as well as members of the honorees’ families.
The Great Works Project has every 10th-grade student select a piece of literature they believe to be a Great Work and advocate for why it should be taught in the third trimester of the 10th-grade year.
