  • Pathway Statement

    The Diversity, Equity, and Belonging Pathway is for individuals dedicated to shaping and promoting culturally competent leadership, fostering inclusive communication, advocating for equity, and championing the inclusion of student voices and experiences. The pathway offers an opportunity for individuals seeking additional growth in culturally competent leadership, cultivating belonging, and understanding the importance of equitable policies and practices.
  • Level One Requirements

    Many tasks/elements of each level will require some form of evidence or another. When drafting your evidence of completion, please be succinct and focus on your experience as it relates to the pathway objectives.

    Create a DEB related FOLIO goal

    Demonstrate evidence of knowledge of Level 1 of this pathway. Evidence may include short essay, presentation, or visual representation of your learning.

    Join the DEB Seminar

    Upon completion of the New Employee Orientation and Level 1 of a pathway, we encourage you to join a pathway seminar. (A seminar experience is required to complete the pathway and may be joined in either Level 2 or Level 3.)

    Facilitate or co-facilitate a DEB workshop external to St. Andrew's

    Co-facilitate a SAES conference/workshop

    Demonstrate evidence of practical application of skills learned in Level 2 of this pathway. Evidence may include short essay, presentation, or visual representation of your learning.

    Join the DEB Seminar

    Upon completion of the New Employee Orientation and Level 1 of a pathway, we encourage you to join a pathway seminar. (A seminar experience is required to complete the pathway and may be joined in either Level 2 or Level 3.)

    Attend 3 DEB-focused Level 3 workshops   

    Lead a DEB workshop or conference at St. Andrew’s.

    Present at NAIS-POCC or Co-present/facilitate with the CTTL on the DEB/MBE connection.

    Demonstrate evidence of leadership accomplished in Level 3 of this pathway. Evidence may include short essay, presentation, or visual representation of your learning.

  • Pathway Seminar Requirements

    Pathway Seminar Guidelines

    The Pathway Seminar provides employees with a collaborative and immersive experience to deepen their understanding and application of the Pathway’s principle practices. 

    Upon completing the New Employee Orientation and Level 1 of a pathway, we encourage you to join a pathway seminar. A seminar experience is required to complete the pathway and may be joined in either Level 2 or Level 3.
     
    Pathway Seminar Requirements:
    • Pathway completion of level 1.
    • Attend an interest meeting.
    • Participate in five, thirty minute Seminar sessions during the 24-25 Professional Development Half Days.
    • Engagement should follow our St. Andrew’s Community Norms for Discourse.
    • Participants must complete all requirements within each Pathway level to receive a certificate.
    • Upon verification of completion of all three levels of the  pathway, participants will receive a badge. 
    • Participants & Pathway Leaders will track their engagement and completion on the ABSORB platform. Participants will work toward a measurable outcome to complete each level on the pathway.
    • Participants are invited to  upload certificates of completion to their Folio profile.
  • Instructions for Submitting Evidence of Completion

    1. Each task within each of the levels of requirement needs proof of completion to be confirmed. This could be a workshop certificate, a receipt of workshop registration, a written document of your experience, or another file you are able to submit to confirm that the requirement has been completed.

    2. Click the requirement within the "course tasks" menu. 

    3. Submit your proof of completion. (*See note below about submitting evidence of completion for workshops/seminars attended prior to this school year.)

    4. The pathway leader will be notified when you submit your proof of completion and will be able to approve your submission.


    *If you do not have proof of completion (workshop certificate, etc) for a workshop you attended from 2019-2024, please fill out this form to use as your evidence of completion. Workshops completed prior to 2019 will be reviewed for consideration.
