St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is seeking a highly motivated development professional to strengthen individual relationships among parents, alumni, and parents of alumni. Reporting to the Associate Director of Advancement and working closely with St. Andrew’s staff and volunteer leadership, the Community Engagement Officer will be responsible for the continued development and execution of the donor stewardship and engagement program for the school. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Advancement team and will be critical to the Fulfilling Our Promise campaign.
Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and oversee the implementation of highly individualized stewardship and engagement strategies for the campaign’s lead donors and prospects
Take the lead on grants management, proposal writing, and stewardship for a multi-year institutional donor
Identify and engage prospective volunteers, speakers, mentors, and subjects of profiles and oral histories
Plan, develop, and implement an alumni survey to collect data on outcomes and affinity
Serve as a secondary contact for major donors in the portfolios of others
Facilitate the recognition of major donors in communications
Attend school events to engage existing and prospective donors
Support staff leadership with other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Outstanding writing skills and attention to detail
Three years+ of development or relevant experience
Previous experience developing and implementing fundraising strategies and annual campaigns
Excellent relational, organizational, oral, and written communication skills
Ability to exercise tact and discretion in working with donors and prospect information
Working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge NXT or similar CRM preferred
Knowledge of relevant fundraising principles, practices, and techniques
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to multi-task and work independently in a highly relational and agile work environment
The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal communication skills, a commitment to building and sustaining a broadly diverse community, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
