Last week, students shared spring break stories and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Students made a “Kindness Quilt” during Peace of Mind class which was a manifestation of how the sum of all our kindnesses is more than its parts. This Tuesday, students presented an outstanding performance of The Three Billy Goats Gruff led my music teacher, Ms. Danielle Drobny. On Thursday, students visited the National Building Museum for our City By Design field trip. In prepapration for our trip, students learned about various buildings such as commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial and discussed strategic city planning as town founders. The week ended with our first graders working with their Lion Buddies on a service project on Friday. It was a fun and very busy week filled with many learning adventures!
