Upper School Awards Assembly Recognizes Student Achievement

St. Andrew’s held the Upper School Awards Assembly on Thursday morning recognizing the achievements of the Class of 2018. Awards were handed out for excellence in academics, arts, athletics, leadership, diversity, and dedication to community service.
Head of School Robert Kosasky and Assistant Head of School David Brown each addressed the graduating class in their final day on campus as students. Graduation takes place on Friday at Washington National Cathedral.
 
Brian Harris, Chair of the Board of Trustees, presented the school’s highest honor, the William Way Award, named for the school’s Founding Board Chair. Joy Reeves (Duke University) received the award for her overall excellence in the classroom and achievements as an artist and an athlete, among other accomplishments. Mr. Kosasky presented the Head of School Award to Cameron Clarke (Bucknell University) and the David Mayhood Award to Gillian Sanford (University of Miami).
