Work by 23 student artists, ranging from pottery to paintings, is now on display in Kreeger Gallery as part of the 10th annual Senior Art Show.
The show, which will be exhibited now through March 1, features art created and curated by nine AP Studio Art students. Seniors with a strong interest or passion for visual arts were also invited to submit work they created throughout their time in the Upper School.
This year’s participation in the show is the highest to date, said Hannah Winter ’17, an AP Studio Art student and exhibit curator, during the opening reception Feb. 15.
“The purpose of the senior art show is to give our students, no matter how else they identify themselves, a chance to showcase their creative work that they have done as high school students,” Winter said. “You will see work spanning across many years, or in some cases, recent discoveries of an artistic voice.”
All artists submitted personal reflections on the meaning of art in their lives, which is presented along their art.
