2012 Homecoming & Walkathon

Please join families from both campuses Saturday, October 13th @ 10am as we kick off the 6th annual Homecoming Walkathon to raise money for Samaritan Ministry, an Episcopal ministry that helps the homeless take steps toward obtaining employment and housing.

Two years ago, we added a "Mini-walk for the Homeless" (shorter version of walkathon) so that the younger people in our school community can fully participate. There will be a School Spirit Parade for little Lions to show off their school spirit. Older students are encouraged to either walk with their friends or volunteer as crossing guards.

There will be sweet treat prizes for the IS, MS, and US grades that produce the most registered walkers.

Last year, St Andrews raised the most money of any local school or church for Samaritan Ministry, and this year they will need us more than ever since Fannie Mae is no longer organizing a major walk on the National Mall. Our goal this year is to raise $6,000.00 (up just a little from last year).

Relive a favorite St. Andrew's memory! Tracey Goodrich will be leading a bowl-a-thon to benefit Christ Roi, an Episcopal school in Haiti. Come throw pots on the wheel for a great cause!
