Nurturing the Spirit at St. Andrew's

As an Episcopal school, St. Andrew’s grounds our spiritual life in the fundamental premise that every human being is created in the image of God, inherently dignified and worthy of respect. We are an inclusive, generous, and hospitable community that encourages questions and doubts every bit as much as faith. We provide a safe space in which students can find meaning, claim their own spiritual identities, and explore their beliefs with humility and openness.

Chapel

Chapel is central to our common life. Once a week, we set aside time in the midst of a full and busy schedule to pause, pray, center ourselves, and contemplate what it means to be beloved children of God. Because developmental needs change as children grow, students and teachers gather by division for age-appropriate stories, songs, prayers, and Chapel Talks. Our worship at every level reflects the diverse beliefs and evolving passions of our community.

Pastoral Care

St. Andrew’s employs two full-time Chaplains who are ordained clergy in the Episcopal Church. Our Chaplains provide spiritual and emotional support to students and families of all faith traditions, in times of both joy and sorrow.

- From the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer
