    Upper School Student and Faculty Achievements Recognized at Honors Day Assembly

    Wednesday was a day of recognition of the achievement of the class of 2013 as the school community awarded its prizes for excellence in academics, athletics, leadership, and dedication to community service. The event kicked off a week and a half of senior celebration that includes the senior banquet, baccalaureate, and graduation on Friday June 7th at the National Cathedral.     Senior Service Projects Impact 28 D.C. Organizations

    With only two weeks to go before their graduation on June 7th at the National Cathedral, the class of 2013 has hardly rested on its laurels. Despite no longer having any academic commitments, the seniors spent the last two weeks challenging themselves through the two week Senior Community Service project. The project, which concluded on Friday May 24th, put the 72 seniors to work volunteering at 28 different organizations throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

    Middle School Coaches Award Top Players in Spring Season

    The Middle School held its sports assembly earlier this week and there was a slightly different vibe in the room as for the first time in school history, every single spring sports team finished .500 or better.

    Short Film by David Lassiter ('04) Selected for Cannes

    St. Andrew's is excited to recognize David Lassiter ('04) for his writing and directorial debut "The Opportunist" which was the sole American film in competition in this year’s Critic’s Week, and the only American short film in competition at Cannes. According to Lassiter, he started making films at St. Andrew's in 2003 and credits his love of film to teacher Gary Wyatt and his classmates. "The Opportunist" has its world premiere in Cannes on May 18th. Click here for more information about the film.
