Boys Basketball Advances to Title Game in MCDR Summer League

The St. Andrew's boys basketball team advanced to the Championship Game of Montgomery County Department of Recreation (MCDR) Summer High School Basketball League on Thursday night as the Lions took an 82-66 win over Avalon.
Trailing at halftime 30-24, St. Andrew's rallied to outscore the Black Knights, 58-36 to improve to 12-0 on the summer. In the title game, which will be played on Monday at 6 p.m. at Wooten High School against McLean. The Lions beat McLean in the regular season.
"We just had an offensive explosion in the second half," said head coach Kevin Jones. "It was really a team effort. Everyone played and everyone contributed. It was a total team effort."
