Boys Basketball Unbeaten in Summer League

Posted July 11, 2012

The St. Andrew's varsity boys basketball team is one of 33 teams participating in the Montgomery County Department of Recreation Summer High School Basketball League this summer and the Lions are currently the undefeated leader of the Patriot Division. St. Andrew's is currently 9-0 with one regular-season game remaining.

THE MCDR Summer High School Basketball League gives high school teams a chance to play as a squad, work on skills and chemistry, and face other local high schools they might not play during the school year. Joining St. Andrew's in the Patriot Division are McLean, Jewish Day School, Whitman, Avalon, New Life, Hebrew Academy and two other local teams. Every team makes the playoffs and with a win in their season finale on Wednesday, the Lions could enter the postseason with a perfect 10-0 record.
