From Downtown Washington D.C.: Take Massachusetts Avenue North, right on Little Falls Parkway to River Road, turn left. Immediately after the bridge over 495, turn right onto Seven Locks Road. Turn left onto Tuckerman Lane. Turn right onto Postoak Road . St. Andrew's Episcopal School is the second entrance on the right.

From the north (Baltimore): Route 95 South (at College Park, stay to the right toward Silver Spring/Rockville) to 495 West. Exit on Wisconsin Avenue (355). Immediately get in the left lane and turn left on Tuckerman Lane. Continue to Postoak Road and turn right into St. Andrew's Episcopal School.

From the north (Gaithersburg): Take Route 270 South to Montrose/Falls Road exit. Take Falls Road. Turn left onto Victory Lane. Turn right onto Postoak Road. Go almost to the end of Postoak Road. The entrance to St. Andrew's Episcopal School will be on the left.

From Northern Virginia: Route 495 North to the Route 270 split. Take the 2nd Exit onto Democracy Boulevard West. Turn right onto Seven Locks Road. Turn left onto Tuckerman Lane. Turn right onto Postoak Road. St. Andrew's School is the second entrance on the right.

Other Transportation

For those wishing to use public transportation, a combination of the Red Line Metro to the Grosvenor Station and the #37 Ride-On bus or the Red Line Metro to White Flint Station and the #38 bus will take students very near the school. St. Andrew’s School Shuttle Service 2007-2008

St. Andrew’s is pleased to provide shuttle bus service to and from points in Northwest Washington, DC, Chevy Chase, Bethesda, Silver Spring, Wheaton, Rockville, and Northern Virginia.

Morning Shuttle Services

There will be four morning bus services. All of the times listed are approximate and may be adjusted slightly, depending upon realities of rush-hour traffic.

Afternoon Shuttle Services

There are four early afternoon shuttles that leave St. Andrew’s at 3:55 pm. The early afternoon shuttle departure times accommodate Middle School sports practices and study hall activities. Please note that some stops may differ slightly from the morning stops

There are three late afternoon shuttle buses departing at 6:00 pm to accommodate the Upper School afternoon sports/activities programs. Please note that the late afternoon shuttles follow different routes from the morning shuttles and that some of the stops differ because two of the morning shuttle routes are combined in the late afternoon.

Shuttle Fees

Fees for the 2007-2008 shuttle service will be $1,480.00 for round-trip, with the choice of using the regular or late afternoon bus, and $1,100.00 for one-way. Students riding the afternoon shuttle may choose daily between the regular or late bus. Priority will be given to families requesting round-trip. Families who receive financial aid will receive full credit toward use of any St. Andrew’s shuttle. Parents will be responsible for arranging their own transportation for any time other than the scheduled pick-up or return times.
