Description:  Training camp at Coach Wyatt’s house in Deep Creek Lake, MD from 8/19-8/25.  Local trails and roads will provide a unique setting to train. Practices will include a variety of runs and activities including use of pool and lake facilities.  Lectures on racing techniques/strategies and nutrition will be included.  Varsity coaches, Mr. Wyatt and Ms. Van Wert and MS coach, Mr. Wagner, will attend the trip.

Eligibility and enrollment: All girls interested in running upper school cross-country are welcome to attend. (Maximum of 22 runners).

 
SAES Fall Pre-Season Boys Cross Country - C&O Canal Bike Trip

Description:  Conditioning and team building bike trip down the Historic C & O Canal Bike Path from 8/20-8/23.  The team will bike the entire path from Cumberland, MD to Washington, DC for a total of 184.5 miles.  Lodging, meals and rafting/ tubing will be provided.  Varsity coaches, Mr. Davila and Mr. Brandt, will supervise the trip.

Eligibility and enrollment:  Top 16 runners are expected to attend but others are welcome if space allows.  Contact Head Coach Mike Davila for more information.
 

Description: Camp at Linden Hall School in Lititz, PA from 8/19-8/23 with use of school’s athletic, dining and dormitory facilities.  Two or three practice sessions daily will occur.  Head varsity coach, Justin Reid, new assistant coach, Ms. Regan-Kiingi, and JV Coach Robinson will attend the trip.

Eligibility and enrollment: All girl’s interested in playing either JV or varsity soccer are invited to attend this trip.  Attending this camp does not guarantee a position on the varsity team. However, athletes interested in playing at the varsity level are required to attend. Questions can be directed to Athletic Director Joan Kowalik, Head Varsity Coach Reid as well as Head JV Coach Phyllis Robinson.

           
SAES Fall Pre-Season Boys Soccer, Saltsburg, PA

Description: Week at Kiski School, in Saltsburg, Pa. from 8/18-8/25 with use of school’s athletic, dining, and dormitory facilities. The team will be engaged in a rigorous week of soccer through organized and tactic specific training sessions as well as scrimmages with the Kiski team.  Varsity coaches, Mr. Haight and Mr. Ponitch, and JV coach, Dr. Kelleher, will attend the trip.   

Eligibility and Enrollment: Approximately 24 players will be traveling to Kiski.  Because of space limitations and in order to maximize training sessions, this is an “invite only” trip.  In general, players that have the most athletic potential to contribute to the varsity team and the program next year, and who have shown passion, dedication and a willingness to improve (as judged by Varsity, JV and middle school coaches) will be asked to participate. Attendance on this trip does not guarantee a spot on the varsity team.

Description: Intensive tennis camp and clinic at Sea Colony Tennis Center in Bethany Beach, DE from 8/20-8/25.  Team will stay in a rental house near the beach and tennis center. The week will be filled with conditioning, drills, match play and clinics provided by the tennis pros.  Varsity coaches, Mr. Mohlman and Ms. Freeman, will attend the trip.

Eligibility and enrollment: Only returning varsity players are eligible to participate in this camp.  Official tryouts for the varsity and junior varsity teams will begin on August 27-August 29 from 4-6PM on campus. 

 
SAES Fall Pre-Season Volleyball (Girls), Lititz, PA

Description:  Camp at Linden Hall School in Lititz, PA from 8/19-8/23 with use of school’s athletic, dining and dormitory facilities.   Two or three practice sessions daily will occur, in addition to a scrimmage vs. Linden’s volleyball team.  Varsity coaches, Ms. Krotky and Ms. Kowalik, and JV coach, Mr. Rich, will attend the trip.

Eligibility and enrollment: All girl’s interested in playing either JV or varsity volleyball are invited to attend this trip.  Attending this camp does not guarantee a position on the varsity team. However, athletes interested in playing at the varsity level are required to attend.
