  • MS/US Visual Art Students Honored for Artistic Talent

    More than 60 middle and upper school students were honored for their artistic talent on Friday April 26th at the annual Visual Arts Awards assembly. Students were given awards in the following categories: Middle School Art, Photography, Computer Graphics, 3-Dimensional Art and Design, Ceramics, 2-Dimensional Art and Design, and Yearbook.

  • Senior Art Show Opens Wednesday to Warm Reception

    The annual Senior Art show opened Wednesday with a reception in Kreeger Gallery. The students spoke about their pieces and admired the work of their peers. The show not only highlights the artistic development of the students, but it gives them a first-hand opportunity to explore the intricacies of curating.   • US Portrait Project to be Replicated, Installed in South Africa

    Encouraging self-awareness, exploration and insightful observation of the world through art are principal goals of St. Andrew’s Visual Arts Program. A well-constructed art project guides students through self-discovery and expression, while exposing them to new artistic styles and cultural traditions. The class, composed of new 9th and 10th grader collaborated with the Bokamoso Youth for two weeks to create a unique sphere of community portraiture. The whole project will be replicated and brought to the Bokamoso Center in Winterveldt, South Africa for installation there.

  • Four SAES Students to Have Artwork Displayed at the State House

    Students from each division of St. Andrew's will represent our school in the Maryland Art Education Association State House Exhibit ~ 2013 during the 2013 Maryland Legislative Session. This statewide exhibit will be installed in the tunnels of the State House in Annapolis where the legislators travel each day while in session.
