St. Andrew's middle school students
take one trimester of visual arts each year. Formal elements and principles of design are presented each
year so students are equipped with the building blocks of visual literacy and
ready for more complex work in their high school years. Each class exposes students to two and three-dimensional as well as a digital media. Middle School students also explore concepts from other disciplines through the visual arts including world
traditions and culture. Student artwork is showcased for the entire school in Kreeger Gallery each year and every student leaves the
St. Andrew’s Middle School program with more confidence in their own unique abilities as visual artists and thinkers.
