History Department Summer Reading 2008
Updated on 6.10.08
In each middle and upper school history course students are required to return to school in September having actively read and indexed the assigned summer reading using the study guide provided for each book or articles. Students should reflect on the questions and ideas put forth in the reading guide. However, students are not required to write or type out of any of the questions.
Language Department Summer Reading 2008
Updated on 6.4.08
There are NO study guides for summer language reading. Please see each course for guidelines for summer study, where appropriate.
English Department Summer Reading 2008
Updated on 6.5.08
Reading is a life-long pleasure and an essential skill. Reading allows us to explore the inner worlds of the human soul and connects us to the outer worlds of the human condition. Thus, we encourage our students to read beyond the required texts in their English courses whenever possible. We also encourage parents to involve themselves in this process by reading with their children and discussing the books they read.
