MEET THE COLLEGE COUNSELORS

Randy Tajan
Director of College Counseling

A thirteen-year veteran of the college admissions field, Randy Tajan spent the first stage of his career as an admission officer at the College of William and Mary, Colgate University, and the Johns Hopkins University. In these positions, he coordinated numerous admissions processes, including transfer, multicultural, and international recruitment and programming. Before coming to St. Andrew's, Randy was Associate Director of College Counseling at Roland Park Country School in Baltimore. He has also served on the Presidential Scholars Program review committee and the Association of Maryland Independent Schools Conference Advisory Committee and has presented numerous admissions workshops to students and parents. Randy received his B.A. from the College of William and Mary.

Susan Burke is a twenty-eight year veteran of St. Andrew's. Throughout her tenure in the college counseling office, Susan has been a fierce advocate for students selecting a college based on fit, rather that on its perceived reputation or name recognition. She also possesses an in-depth knowledge of the St. Andrew's applicant histories at a wide range of schools. In addition to managing transcripts and college applicant paperwork, Susan is our standardized testing coordinator, working with students who qualify for extended time on the SAT and ACT and supervising the administration of the PSAT to juniors and sophomores.

Délice Williams
Associate Director of College Counseling

Délice Williams joined the college counseling staff in 2006. In the few years she has been in the office, she has traveled extensively to colleges in the Midwest, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and Texas. She is also an active member of the National Association of College Admission Counseling. In addition to college counseling, Délice also teaches World Literature, a senior English elective. After graduating with a B.A. in English from the College of William & Mary, Délice taught at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA, and then attended graduate school at Washington University in St. Louis, where she earned an M.A. and achieved ABD status in the doctoral program in English.
